The Plaza Latina carnival is organised by volunteer students and members of the Latin American community in the capital, who throw a carnival-style party year-on-year. Not only can you have a great day out enjoying the very best of our British summer weather for absolutely free, but it’s also a chance for Carnaval del Pueblo to continue to raise money to build a sustainable free festival platform in the area. The festival will be jam packed with dancers taking to the stage in East Street, where we dare you not to move! Piñatas, that will keep the kids entertained and the main attraction a parade. At noon you can catch the artists from Paraiso School of Samba at Elephant and Castle Station kick off preceedings with a traditional folk dance. They will then make there way down Walworth Road into ast Street and through the market.
