The Artworks Elephant is hosting a World Food Festival on the 23rd and 24th September. The festival celebrates the global community at The Artworks Elephant that has developed over the past several years.
The Artworks Elephant was established in 2014 to provide affordable space to first-time business owners from the local area. The media shy Marcel and Sons were the first restaurant to move into The Artworks Elephant and have established a loyal following for their truly authentic Mauritian dishes through word of mouth. Staying true to their desire to let their food speak for itself their Bol Renverse has become a community favourite.
The Artworks Elephant has an established reputation for hosting some authentic global cuisines. The Athenian proudly imports all of their ingredients from Greece. Their traditional Greek souvlaki wraps can now be found across London and now in Bristol.
Elephant and Castle is undergoing rapid transformations and these changes have resulted in it increasingly becoming a go-to destination for incredible food and drink within London. The area has seen new food markets launch as well as pop-up markets. It’s the perfect time to showcase the diverse cultures and food in the area.
Crafty Chefs will be participating in at the World Food Festival by providing children’s emoji cupcake decorating and fruit kebab classes across the two days. In the evenings the grown-ups can enjoy a cocktail making classes for £5 hosted by Pursuit Cocktails, a new mobile cocktail bar who will then also be running a pop-up cocktail bar with a DJ.
In addition to these exciting activities, Lost Rivers Elephant will be hosting Carnaval de Cuba which will be a celebration of Latin culture, food, and music. You can expect Elephant Road to be bustling with live music, world foods and fun, with access to the new Elephant Park.
