Yes it’s Monday again and this week @HereEast are interviewing the brain boxes behind a revolutionary new technology who are making animation accessible to everyone.
Imagine being able to use a computer program to make and share a holographic 3D model of yourself in augmented reality or virtual reality! Well now you can do exactly that.
Let’s take a look at…
@HereEast interview DoubleMe: #MakerMonday with Albert Kim
@HereEast find out that DoubleMe, as the name says, can create your (digital) double in virtual reality. Their slogan is: “We put real people into virtual reality” – which is exactly what they are doing! Instead of hiring cartoon-like 3D characters, they allow you to use your own body. At the moment, there are many people creating virtual reality or augmented reality content, but it’s not easy to create high resolution, high quality 3D models that look like actual human beings or animals. Their method is much cheaper than conventional approaches, they use multiple angle video to capture a moving subject, and then process the data through our algorithm which crumples it into a single 3D model for you to use.
