We caught up with Sara Farrell, the person behind the much anticipated Elephant Social Market in Elephant and Castle. She shares with us how she started her own business, her work with The Artworks and lets us in on what she has planned for this year’s Elephant Social Market.
Tell us a little about Sugar for My Soul and how you got involved with them?
I founded Sugar For My Soul in 2014 to support creatives, independents and start-ups. In 2014 we launched our first pop up market ‘Sclater Street Stalls’ in Brick Lane. Throughout 2014- 2016 we worked closely with Camden Market and in 2016 we launched Limehouse Social Market, which is now a thriving market and community hub.
Collaboration and co-production is at the heart of everything we do from design work to events and community projects.
When and how was the collaboration between The Artworks and Sugar for My Soul formed?
We had worked with the team behind The Artworks on other projects so we already knew that we shared the same core values of supporting independent business and focusing on community projects. So when they became involved at Castle Square it was a natural partnership.
