This Friday, we’ll be celebrating the launch of the transformation of Walthamstow Reservoirs into a new urban wetland reserve – and you should join us to celebrate!

The Walthamstow Reservoirs in Waltham Forest have been transformed into a distinctive urban nature reserve, with a humongous 211 hectare’s, making it the largest in all of mainland Europe!
Head over for the grand opening this Friday to explore the revamped area and enjoy the local wildlife for free.
This new oasis, only a 15 minute journey from central London, will suit the needs of all ages; whether you’re looking for a place to run and cycle, somewhere to take the kids out for the day, or looking for some peace and quiet away from bustling city life.
Once you’ve finished exploring the area, there’s always time to enjoy a coffee, lunch or even an afternoon tea at the Walthamstow Wetlands Visitor Centre and Café – open daily between 9:30am – 4pm.
The totally transformed Walthamstow Wetlands will be hosting weekly activities and events to take part in throughout the year, and you can keep up to date with what’s going on in the community here.
