Four Quarters, one of London’s coolest bars, is bringing their winning combination of nostalgic arcade games and craft beer to east London and we couldn’t be happier! The gaming paradise is due to open its doors later this month at Here East, formerly the Press and Broadcast Centres for London 2012. Here East has changed a lot over the last year with some awesome places opening up, so if you haven’t already, head on down there to try it out for yourself!

Four Quarters first opened back in 2014 in Peckham and immediately caught the attention of big kids wanting to relive their glory days and touch up on their gamer skills. The bar was created by a genius group of friends; a couple of whom are owners of the shop Retro Games Base in Streatham.
A bar with gaming at its heart, Four Quarters is host to all the favourites, from vintage Pac-Man, Space Invaders and Asteroids, to classic PlayStation games, original board games, and pinball machines. The machine games take American quarters (hence the name), which you can exchange at the bar.
The bar itself serves an impressive collection of craft beers and real ales, alongside loads of killer cocktails. For when all that adrenaline makes you peckish, Four Quarters serves up a menu of much needed energy-fuelling American-style grilled cheese sandwiches – the perfect grub for a gaming evening.
The brightly painted and neon lit venue comes to life with an electro, 90s rock and funk n’ soul soundtrack. The nostalgic tunes help to transport you back to days of old. They also host occasional movie nights which are screened on a projector to add to the already 90s feel. Whether you’re into gaming or not, this is an amazing location to hang out with your mates!
We just can’t wait to see this fun bar appear at Here East! If you’re as excited as we are, you can keep track of the progess on their site.
