The Alexandra Palace Fireworks are one of the largest displays in London and take place over two days. The event is more than just a firework display as it also includes a German beer festival and a burning fire parade which means you can grab a craft beer and watch as the London skyline is lit up! Other great fireworks displays can be seen at; Battersea Park Fireworks and Southwark Fireworks although there’s plenty more to choose from. Don’t forget to wrap up warm!

Calling all Harry Potter fans – this one’s for you! Step into Christmas in the Wizarding world as Hogwarts in the Snow at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London celebrate a magical festival season with a sparkling makeover of The Making of Harry Potter. From the Great Hall decked out as it was for the iconic Yule Ball to the Gryffindor Common Room decorated with original props including handmade Christmas cards. You will also be able to find out how different types of artificial snow and ice were created in the films, and tuck into a two course meal in the magical surroundings for Dinner in the Great Hall. For its sixth year, the winter trail will be returning to the magical Kew Gardens 2018 seeing the buildings and plants illuminated in a twinkling trail. There will be over a million pea-lights, thousands of laser beams and new for this year – a moonlit Laser Garden hidden in the woods and hundreds of glowing boats on the lake. From the 9th of November the side of the River Thames will be transformed with an enchanting Winter Market full of pop-ups, global street food, artisan gifts and other seasonal delights. The Southbank Centre will be buzzing with festive fun in the form of workshops, dancing, music and family activities throughout December. Sliders Curling is returning to Roof East with a brand new theme of Curl Runnings to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Cool Runnings.
