The café is transformed into a bar and restaurant with Chef’s In Residence, preparing cuisines with influencer from Tel Aviv to Hiroshima. The broad range of dishes are accompanied by natural wines and local beers for the perfect pairing.
From Tuesday 7th August onwards, Chef Fumio Tanga and his Sho Foo Doh crew will be operating the supper clubs with WeFiFo. The Sho Foo Doh crew are famed for unconventiaonal Japanese food & Hiroshima style Okonomiyaki. “The most popular and well-known (okonomiyaki style) is a doughy pancake where all the ingredients are mixed into the batter. Hiroshima-style on the other hand is more layered, starting with a thin crepe, loads of vitamin K boosting cabbages, beanshoots, pork belly, egg noodles and an omelette, with sauce, mayo and scallions on top.” Fumio Tanga explains.
At the weekends, DJ’s play their tunes through a bespoke vintage Hifi system creating excellent sound quality. Utilising the Arts Council/Lottery Grant to present live music from local bands (Representative Music Residencies), there will be monthly free gigs and special events taking place. This month on the 23rd August Louie Louie are presenting The Soas Radio Summer Roadshow featuring live World Music 2.0 Broadcasts of special sets by station DJS Untuk, Poly-Ritmo & Madere Verde in Elephant Park London, for free!
