Our favourite blog posts of the week
It’s Friday and that means it’s time for our favourite blog posts this week.
London is synonymous with multiculturalism and London Culture Blog provided us with a sumptuous Sunday review of the quirkily-named restaurant SUSHISAMBA, a welcome addition to the city from the States, up in the giddy heights of London’s Heron Tower.
With a large Japanese and South American population in the capital, especially in Acton and Elephant & Castle, this review highlights the city diner’s superb views (just look at that window!), and mouthwatering choices of Brazilian, Japanese and Peruvian food.
Unsurprisingly, after scouring through food images, we suddenly found ourselves very hungry. Roll on pay day…
Moving onto the second blog post to catch our eye this week, urban art Hooked blog featured an intriguing piece on French street artist LUDO. (Wednesday 17th October)
The man of moment in street artistry after his successful show ‘Metal Militia’ in Paris, LUDO showed off some of his latest London pieces, applying large scale paste-ups across the Big Smoke. Presented on Wednesday, the blog’s images exemplify the gritty and sharp-edged effect of graffiti art, in relation to the contrasting and somewhat glitzier adornments in London.
Last but not least, the story which has dominated the headlines for the last week was Felix Baumgartner’s unthinkable skydive from 128,100, being the first to break the speed of sound unaided and smashing three records in the process.
Not a bad day’s work, eh?
As with any such record-breaking event, we were awash with updates, articles, features and even a live Youtube feed. But, the blog posted by Extreme Tech by Sebastian Anthony on Monday, struck a chord. The piece provides an exemplary combination of eye-catching photos, video and mind-boggling nerdy facts.
Read, learn, enjoy!
