We all know that east London is home to some of the most exciting innovators in the country. After all, the Silicon Roundabout is the third largest technology start-up hotspot area in the world, after San Francisco and New York City. But east London is never a place to rest on its laurels – and now Europe’s largest Innovation Centre is coming to Stratford!
Here East, in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford’s E20, has just announced it will soon be home to the exciting new centre. The former Press and Broadcast Centre during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Here East is no stranger to being a hub of activity, but it’s soon going to get even busier! The Innovation Centre will be a place for large and small businesses to meet, work together, spark fresh ideas and ultimately create the ground-breaking objects of tomorrow.
Here East will work with Delancey and ENTIQ to create the Innovation Centre – and we’re excited to watch it progress! It’s set to open in January next year, and will have the capacity to support up to 500 on-site members and organisations. There’ll be plenty of room (68,000 square feet of it!) which will comprise office space, exhibition space and a state of the art technology lab to create working prototypes.
For those yet to hear about Here East, it’s London’s home for making – a dedicated place for individuals and companies who embrace and pioneer technology, share expertise and are creating the products of tomorrow.
