Monday saw the grand opening of King’s Cross station’s eagerly awaited and newly developed western concourse.

Fresh from a whopping £550 million transformation, an imposing assembly of criss-crossing beams curve like a gigantic wave above the brand new station entrance, situated to the western side of King’s Cross.

Bringing with it not just a fantastic new entrance, but vastly improved facilities, transport links, shops and restaurants, the build ‘represents the biggest transformation in King’s Cross’ 160-year history.’

Monday night saw East Village under the spotlight as the ‘East Village – a Lasting Legacy for Londoners’ exhibition got underway at the NLA on Store Street, central London. With the promise of champagne, canapes and some never-seen-before insights into our project, the members of the London Living team headed down to check it out.

Visitors flocked in their hundreds to the show, which documents the development of London’s newest neighbourhood, E20.

Anticipation for the show was evident before we’d even arrived on Twitter, with Design Exchange magazine leading the way:
