 Niche

197-199 Rosebery Avenue, Finsbury, EC1R 4TJ

Niche is a totally gluten-free restaurant, although you’d never know it from looking at the menu! With a ‘Best of British’ theme running throughout, Niche offers the likes of pies, quiche and burgers to tickle any coeliac’s taste buds, as well as a range of gluten-free yet gorgeous desserts to wash them down afterwards. With seasonal ingredients sourced from local suppliers throughout the year, Niche is one of our favourite ‘niche’ spots in town. We’d highly recommend it for some casual gluten-free dining in north London.

The Canvas Café

42 Hanbury Street, Shoreditch, E1 5JL

This bright café in Shoreditch is a great little place for gluten-free cookies and vegan cakes as well as, wait for it, dairy-free freakshakes! Canvas joined the freakshake trend just last month, and their launch of the dairy-free version has gone down an absolute treat with London’s lactose-intolerant crowds. The extravagant milkshakes you’ve been drooling over can now be enjoyed by all with these dairy-free, and just as delicious, alternatives! Café chef, Maria, blends coconut milk ice cream and soya milk to create the perfect freakshake base, topped with gluten-free treats. You have to try it to believe it!

Whether you’re looking for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea – you’ve got it right here! From cakes, pastries and scones that still have the intense flavour and richness of non-gluten-free versions, to beautiful breads and pizzas; all your baked gluten-free needs are covered at Artisan.
