And now we’re well into the swing of 2016, what are the latest and greatest crazes going on in the city? The Rainbow Bagel

Rainbow bagel madness has arrived. It’s come straight out of New York, and landed right in the middle of London’s Brick Lane! The well-known and long-standing Brick Lane Beigel Shop has been hot on the foot of this trend, and now produces rainbow bagels daily to sell to their already flocking customers. At 50p each, there’s absolutely no reason not to go and give one a go! And get yourself an ultra-colourful, trend-perfect Instagram shot out of it in the process.

The Freakshake

Another one that’s caught the attention of all foodies and trendy treat hunters, we give you The Freakshake! AKA HEAVEN. A craze that began in Australia last year, you can thank recently-opened Dalston café Molly Bakes for bringing these badboys to the capital! It’s all about being excessive and stacking up the milkshake so that it’s overflowing with cream, sauce, cake, brownie, cookie dough, honeycomb and the rest of it. Grab your mate and go get freaky, you won’t regret it!

Okay, we admit it, we can’t get enough of all these amazing food crazes at the moment! With Easter upon us, the K West Hotel in Shepherd’s Bush is bringing a fine old treat to the table that London is about to go mad for… the Crème Egg Burger! Where has this been hiding?! K West’s Studio Kitchen is serving up a white chocolate and raspberry sprinkle topped brioche bun filled with a deliciously warm battered crème egg, mascarpone cream and strawberry jelly. Oh my. Hand us the plate!

Now after all that food talk, next stop – the latest fitness craze! Running clubs and communities have taken London by storm over the last couple of years, and Midnight Runners are the latest trendsetters in town. Taking to the streets of London at night, the crew head out after hours to trailblaze through the capital. Their multiple weekly meetups are open for all, with Facebook events flagging meeting points and times. Most importantly, Midnight Runners bring not just group runs but social events – carrying speakers for the whole run to keep you upbeat, and heading out for drinks afterwards to party the rest of the night away!
