Do you have a date coming up and have no idea where to go? With thousands of restaurants lining London’s streets, even deciding where to go for dinner can be an overwhelming task, especially when you’re under the scrutiny of a new partner! So whether you’re looking for somewhere to help ignite a spark on a first date, or just need somewhere new to try with your other half, here are a couple of our favourites. Time to get date night back in the diary!
403 High Street, Stratford, E15 4QZ
With its deep red decor, candle-lit tables and spicy Moroccan and Lebanese food, Darr Marrakech on Stratford High Street is sure to heat up any date. Snuggle up on silk covered cushions and feast on flavoursome tagines and curries, followed by sweet traditional baklava for dessert. Prices are very reasonable and the food and atmosphere should make you feel like you’ve been transported to a faraway country, just for the evening.
Despite being located in the heart of Elephant & Castle, La Bodeguita couldn’t feel more like Latin America. This large and lively restaurant seats up to 150 people and offers a menu filled with traditional Colombian dishes – expect lots of steak, rice and plantain swilled with plenty of Ron cocktails (rum). They also put on live music nights, dancing and parties, great for injecting a bit of South American excitement into a date!

What’s more, many of the places are BYO and prices are extremely reasonable, meaning your wallet shouldn’t take too much of a hit when treating your date…
