Remember that short burst of heat we had in London a couple of weekends ago? Well, the warmth is on its way back as we slowly creep into summer and the longer, lighter evenings make us want to stay outdoors with our friends. And what better place to hangout than at one of the capital’s many rooftop bars? Save us a seat! Here’s our pick of the top five rooftops you should head to this summer…
535 Oxford Street, W1C 2QW
A new addition to the city for this summer, Notch is a new hangout spot right above the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street! Perfect for a break from the shops for some lunch and a cheeky drink, the pop-up bar is kitted out with swings that overlook the streets of central London below. It’s open daily from midday – 10pm, providing you with cocktails and snacks to refuel after a busy shopping trip!
Netil House, 1 Westgate St, E8 3RL
First up is Netil360, a discrete rooftop bar and workspace perched on top of Hackney’s Netil House. Following a fab refurbishment, this place is open for its third summer, and is now bigger and better than ever before. Enjoy coffee and a chilled out working vibe by day, and drinks and beautiful sunset scenes by night. Oh, and… there’s a rooftop dog too, guys! The bar is open Wednesday – Sunday each week, and you can check out what specific events are lined up, here.

Singer Street, EC1V 9DD
A ‘quintessential urban cocktail bar’, Golden Bee is based in the centre of Shoreditch and offers a celebrated cocktail menu atop a sleek, cosmopolitan roof terrace. This summer, you can even enjoy Wimbledon up on this rooftop with Golden Bee screening every day of Wimbledon in partnership with their sponsor, Stella Artois. Expect a big screen, grass turf, strawberries & cream as well as prizes to be won throughout the tournament. And one more thing – Happy Hour is 5-7pm every Tuesday – Friday if you fancy soaking up a bit of post-work sunshine!
Queen of Hoxton
1 Curtain Rd, EC2A 3JX
The Queen of Hoxton is quite possibly the most colourful place you’ll find yourself at this summer! Its famous rooftop has opened this summer as ‘A Tribute to Dr. Strange’ – and it comes with all of the summer of love vibes! A kaleidoscopic colour palette is splashed all over the fences and picnic benches, coupled with psychedelic décor and crazy cocktails – it’s a great spot to meet your mates for an afternoon of fun in the sun. You can also enjoy a bit of al fresco dining with their fun food options, including the Salmon and Garfunkel. We love this sixties theme.
10th Floor, Peckham Multi-Story Car Park, 95a Rye Lane, SE15 4ST
Cited as the ‘best view in London’ by many, we couldn’t leave this much-loved rooftop out. Frank’s can be found on top of a multi-storey car park in Peckham, which has become somewhat infamous amongst locals as a top spot to enjoy a drink in the summer. We don’t think you’ll ‘get it’ until you experience it, so believe us when we tell you the view is incredible and the chilled vibes make it even better! Grab your mates and get out there!
