To make the most of the glorious London weather while we can, what better way to catch some rays than dining at one of London’s many rooftop bars and restaurants. Luckily, we’re spoilt for choice when it comes to rooftop locations in the city, so to help you with planning your next post-work get-together, we thought we’d list our top five.
Image: The Lost Vegas Rooftop
Fancy the Vegas vibes? Well look no further than East London as the Queen of Hoxton is dressing up their rooftop in a Las Vegas set in 2030 after eco-warriors and neo-hippies have taken over town leaving it completely overgrown – hence the name Lost Vegas. Have a play on some slot machines and meet Elvis in an overgrown Little Vegas Wedding Chapel while sunning yourself in this wild jungle vibe.
Gather some of your global conscious pals for a few artisan cocktails made by Three Dots and Five Miles Brewery who’ve abandoned single-use plastic cups and straws, try their vegan grub, served from an abandoned yellow school bus bar, and check out a series of sustainable living workshops from ‘How to Live a plastic free life’.

Wandsworth Bridge Road
Enjoy lazy summer days in Fulham at this pop-up alfresco urban beach filled with palm trees, painted beach huts, swings and summer cocktails. Relish the tasty offering of food from Jimmy Garcia’s pop up restaurant and the BBQ Club who’ll be knocking up cocktails, beer and bottomless brunch.
Feel free to come up here to relax and take in the sun with some good company or if you’re more of the active type, join in some of the events that are being hosted throughout the summer including yoga and circuit sessions on the beach, cocktail masterclasses, glitter artists, sand sculpting, croquet, shuffleboard, table tennis, and beer and prosecco pong. We heard cocktails and glitter – sign us up!

The Trafalgar St. James
2 Spring Gardens
The Rooftop at The Trafalgar St James is the perfect spot for a romantic date with a spectacular view of the city while the sun sets over London. Spend an evening here sipping individually crafted cocktails and drinking in the incomparable city view. We’d recommend either The Skyline, a pink twist on a pisco sour that tastes like marshmallows or a Soho Sunset, a gin mix topped with Champaign.
We’d recommend you reserve a table ahead, and enjoy a selection of small plates and one of their cocktail specials in their recently revamped seating area boasting a new modern décor with marble and royal blue furniture.

Skylight at Tobacco Dock
Pennington Street Car Park Entrance
Head East to Skylight at Tobacco Dock for one the largest rooftop bars in London where you can sprawl out across its three floors of bars, street food and live entertainment.
Catch up on your sports with screens inside and outdoors that will be showing the World Cup and Wimbledon championships throughout the summer. For even more fun in the sun, join in with their hosted games of croquet and pétanque with a few other surprises – watch this space!
Image: Frank’s Café
10th floor, Peckham Multi-Story Carpark
95a Rye Lane
This concrete jungle set on top of a carpark in Peckham is one of our favourites, with it’s cool vibes and stunning views of the city landscape from south of the river. This is a great hangout for the summer with beers, wines, and cocktails available and Frank’s restaurant is open every day all summer long – and if, like us, you’re a big fan of brunching with your besties, they have their own brunch menu on the weekends.
