Nothing beats the feeling of being lay on a beautiful beach in the hot weather with a beer in your hand… *sigh*. Now we may live a far cry away from sandy shores here in land-locked London but, fortunately for you, you’ll be able to recreate that blissful beach feeling without leaving the city! Thanks to the rise of urban beaches across the capital, it’s time to enjoy a beer in a more local sandy spot. Life’s certainly a beach!

Grab a deckchair and sunbathe, watch the latest sports and a whole host of films on the big screen and let the kids splash around in the giant (and we mean giant!) paddling pool. Head down to Fulham’s very own Thames-side beach which comes equipped with beach huts, palm trees, deck chairs and day beds to give you that ultimate sunny paradise feeling! Whichever way you choose to look at it, the Southbank Beach is an ideal spot for the little ones to frolic around and enjoy the sand between their toes. It’s central location by the Thames makes it the perfect place to have a mid-day play break with the kids during a busy day, with plenty of things going on around Southbank to recreate that holiday feeling! Street performers, great food and a great atmosphere are all waiting for you.

Recline in a deckchair or spread out on the sand, the Roundhouse Beach is the perfect place to bring your bucket and spade and let your kids get started on building that dream sand castle. Returning for its sixth year, we’re certain Camden’s beachy summer oasis will be a big hit with family and friends once again. Their beach-side food hut will be on hand to dish out BBQ pulled pork and mac and cheese should you feel a bit hungry, whilst the slushies and summer cocktails will keep you refreshed. We’re not quite sure you’ll want to leave once you claim yourself a deckchair!
