The road to Rio is here, and it’s time for you to get into the spirit of things! With the Olympics fast approaching (two weeks to go!), we’re pumped for a summer of sport and are getting ready to get behind Team GB. We may be almost 6,000 miles from the heart of the action, but that won’t stop us from joining in on the fun. Check out some great ways to get ready for Rio!

Whatever the occasion, we love a fun run – and a carnival-themed run has us pumped with excitement already! The Rio Run will take place in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, with Rio kicking off the following week. If you’re looking for a family day out this summer, this one’s for you – with a 2km kids’ race and a 5km adult run taking place. Don your most colourful garms and party your way to the finish line, ready to carry on the celebrations throughout Rio 2016.

Time for some Brazilian fever in the form of this carnival-themed fiesta! In line with the Opening Ceremony of Rio 2016, Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen is hosting a Brazilian-inspired opening party, with cocktails galore, Brazilian street food and free carnival masks to liven up the mood! The South London Samba band will be getting the party started with their live Latin American rhythms, and the Opening Ceremony itself will be live on a big screen from midnight.

On Saturday 6th August, you’re invited to get on down to Pop Brixton’s amazing outdoor space to enjoy an action-packed day filled with the sights, sounds and spirit of Rio! From live drummers and samba dancers to a mouth-watering selection of food and drink, this is the place to be to experience live coverage of Rio 2016 in a carnival-inspired atmosphere. Pop Brixton’s big screen will also be hosting live coverage throughout the Olympics.
