Shining a light on life in London

We’re getting a new look!

New things are in the pipeline here at London Living. For those of you who have been reading our blogs long enough to remember, we started out back in 2011 as a way to shine a light on news and updates from the nation’s capital. More than four years, 850 posts and a hell of a lot of burgers later, we’re still continuing to do that, with a special focus on London’s hottest places and people!

But after time everything needs a little refresh, which is why we thought it was about time we gave London Living a makeover! Our focus will still be on the incredible places and people which make our city the best

place to live in the world (we could be biased); but just as London itself is rapidly changing and developing, we wanted to give our corner of the internet its own renovation to make your experience slicker, quicker and even more useful!

So before we enter our new chapter, we thought we’d take this opportunity to look back at some of our best bits. We live in a city that runs at a thousand miles an hour, so let’s reflect on some of the amazing things that have happened in our beautiful capital over the last four years… Enjoy!

We grilled the ever-loveable Howard from The Great British Bake Off on his time in the tent, the stolen custard fiasco and Sue Perkins elbowing his muffin. Revisit it here.

We welcomed Tinchy Stryder to Stratford’s East Village to help students at Chobham Academy write a school anthem. Read what Tinchy had to say about it here.

We took a look at what happens in an hour of the life of London, including how many pints are consumed, parking tickets are issued and loaves of bread are sold. Find out the answers to all of the above here.

We unveiled a vertigo-inducing piece of 3D art to commemorate the two-year anniversary of London 2012. Have your stomach churned all over again here.

And finally – how could we forget about the legendary Olympic Games which, despite being nearly four years ago, still hold the most special place in our hearts? Get nostalgic (and emotional) with our Games wrap up here.

These are just a few of our top highlights but we can’t wait to create even more when our brand new look arrives! Do any other posts stand out for you? Help us to reminisce by letting us know in the comments!
