As the official blog of East Village, London Living’s values reflect East Village’s three core pillars: time, space and choice.
When East Village is completed, the neighbourhood will bring you more of these three things. In the meantime, we want to bring these things to you. We began this process by giving one London Living reader more time in our PA For A Day initiative two weeks ago, and this week we are looking at the theme of space.
Space is a rare and ever-decreasing entity in London. Areas of open space are golden nuggets of land cherished by Londoners amidst the surrounding chaos.
East Village, with its 27 hectares of open parkland (that’s the size of St. James’ Park) and the Lea Valley on its doorstep, hopes to banish the misconception that living in London has to be all about enclosed spaces, tiny rooms and narrow streets.
We hope to bring a refreshing sense of open space back to London when East Village is completed – but in the meantime we want to give two members of our audience the chance to have a unique experience of open space right in the heart of London – by visiting the giddy heights of one of London’s most famous landmarks, The Gherkin.
That’s right, we’re giving you the chance to head right up to the exclusive area that sits atop The Gherkin next Wednesday, for some sundowners with a friend as you enjoy the truly breathtaking views across London.
‘How do I get involved?’, I hear you ask.
Well, we’re asking you to tell us just where your favourite ‘space’ in London is. It doesn’t matter whether it’s Hyde Park, your local swimming pool or your most cherished view of this wonderful town: we want your favourite space, so don’t be shy and get sharing!
The best answer will win this fabulous prize. Just leave your ideas in the comments section under this article.
The competition will close next Tuesday 6th March and we will announce a winner!
Good luck, and we hope to see you for cocktails 180m up!
