Back on Track: Here’s our Tier 2 Bucket List

December 4, 2020

It’s fair to say that this year has not lived up to expectations. There are, however, still pockets of fun to be found, even within a pandemic. December wouldn’t be December without a little bit of fun & games. Tier 2 is here, and we are here for it.

From delightful gardens, to fabulous food, we present to you our Tier 2 bucket list – so you can get your kicks, without breaking the rules. Check it out:

Wander round Barbican Conservatory

These days, we’re all in search of a safe haven aren’t we? Somewhere to sit back, take in our surroundings and breathe a sigh of relief. Barbican Conservatory could be that place for you. And the best part? It’s open 7 days a week. Brimming with tropical plants, this hidden oasis feels like you’ve been transported out of London. You can book tickets here, totally for free.

Embrace a night at Ronnie Scott’s (and all that jazz)

If you fancy something a little more up-beat, Ronnie Scott’s is the one. This infamous jazz club will have you movin’ and shakin’ til your worries are no more. Founded by famous saxophonist Ronnie Scott himself, you can expect no less than the best live music in town. It reopens today with a magical line-up, including a festive special guaranteed to get you in the mood, a soulful Motown show, and some live jazz ‘n samba sets. What are you waiting for?

Fill your boots at Walden Books

Bookshops have reopened – and we couldn’t be more excited about it! There’s nothing like a thoughtful meander round an old-school bookshop. Walden Books is the home to many a treasure, including second-hand poetry, novels and more. Hidden just off Chalk Farm Road, it’s the perfect destination to stock up on presents for the Christmas break – and why not have a wander down Camden Lock while you’re at it?

 Dine in Style

There are times when a three-course meal can feel a little boujie. This is not one of those times. We can wholeheartedly tell you – you deserve it. Aster in Victoria has a 3 course brunch on deal for as little as £19, Spaghetti House in Westfield will tinkle your tastebuds with added free-flowing prosecco for a healthy £35pp, and if you’re up for going the whole hog, Hutong at The Shard has a 4 course meal deal. Tuck in, we say.

Soak up the view at the Sky Garden

The Sky Garden is quite literally the ultimate view of London. Located in central London, at the peak of the Walky Talky, you’ll be treated to magnificent 360-degree views of London. Dotted around this forest-like dome, there’s also several telescopes to enhance the experience. If you get peckish, there’s also two tasty restaurants and a café to stop off at. The festive meal at Fenchurch looks especially enticing.
