You may have seen Here East, London’s new digital quarter, pop up on London Living a number of times now. Located in the former Press and Broadcast Centre for the London 2012 Olympics, this new complex of digital start-ups, students and creators has been expanding rapidly over the past 24 months. And now comes a very important and exciting announcement – the names of those who’ll be feeding us, mixing our drinks and, even, fixing our bikes!

Positioned on the picturesque bank of the Lee Canal in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, this first wave of retailers are moving in just in time for summer. In line with Here East’s objective of supporting new and emerging businesses, the hand-picked selection are a mix of independent retailers and producers who share a passion for making.
Amongst the bunch is everyone’s favourite brunch spot, The Breakfast Club. Having already brought their pancake stacks and secret bars to a number of London locations, this Hackney-grown business is bringing the bacon back to its home turf. For those who aren’t familiar with the Breakfast Club’s famed ‘Brinners’ (breakfast dinners), the menu here has everything from a traditional Full English to fried chicken and waffles, and a cocktail menu of breakfast-complimenting mixes.
As well as an enticing menu, The Breakfast Club already have a programme of exciting events lined up for its launch. On the 26 May and 23 June it’ll be all eyes down for boozy, breakfasty bingo; including free shots, prizes and Happy Hour prices on drinks all night. Or if general knowledge is more your thing, the 9 June and 14 July are Club Quiz nights, including brain teasers, drawing challenges and the all-important pipe cleaner modelling round.
