This month, our Chancellor of the Exchequer, aka Dishy Rishi, chose to live up to his nickname – dishing out millions of meals at half the price. You might call it the modern day feeding of the five thousand – with some seriously elevated cooking.
There isn’t long left of the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme, so we thought we’d share our favourite London restaurants taking part so you can do your bit. From tapas to steak, the world is your oyster. Tuck in:
Naughty Piglets – Brixton & Victoria

Are you a fan of good wines and tasty food? Naughty Piglets may be the restaurant for you. From exquisite crab small plates to indulgent mains to share, you will not be disappointed. We’d recommend the Burrata if mozzarella is your thing. Check out the menu here.
Temper – Soho & Covent Garden
For the carnivores out there, Temper is the one. It houses one of the world’s biggest restaurant fire-pits as well as having its own dedicated butchery area where you can watch chefs calve meat from whole animals. While this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, it’s certainly a spectacle.
Rosa’s Thai Café – Angel, Soho, Hampstead etc.

Based right across London from Tooting to Hampstead, Rosa’s are offering discounts on their exquisite menu of Asian food. Book yourself in for pocket-friendly spring rolls and stir fry. There’s also a great selection for Vegans.
The Cheese Bar – Camden & Covent Garden
A conveyor belt of cheese dreams, The Cheese Bar showcases exclusively British cheese. In their words, “Not only does real British Cheese taste amazing, it supports our farmers and rural communities, and helps to strengthen local economies across the country.” A reason to eat out if there ever was one. And if you’re not quite ready to tear yourself away from the sofa, they also deliver cheese right to your door….
Union Street Café – Southwark
One of Ramsay’s restaurants, Union Street Café is a stylish taste of North Italy – at a bargain price. All the way up until September 30th, they’re offering a ‘Love London’ set menu with two courses for two people for just £15 with the government discount. What are you waiting for?
