After a surprise spell of snow this month, here’s to hoping that we’ve seen the last of the Beast from the East and sunnier days are on the horizon! We’re certainly looking forward to starting the month with an extra early Easter and a Bank Holiday weekend. Brixton Disco Festival
Saturday 28th April
End the month with a brand-new Day & Night festival in the heart of South London. For the first time ever, the venues around Brixton’s iconic Windrush Square are coming together to celebrate 40 years of disco!
You can expect glitz and glam, so get your dancing shoes on! Party the day away with live music, DJ’s, screenings, talks and of course, plenty of food and drink to keep you going through the festival. Tickets are selling fast to this one-of-a-kind event, so be sure to nab yours here before they’re all gone.

Saturday 22nd April
The world-famous London Marathon returns to the city this April, with over 40,000 people preparing to take on the 26.2 mile race around the streets of London to raise money for their favourite charities. The route starts south of the Thames and continues through Greenwich, before crossing over Tower Bridge to the other side of the river. The race winds up at the truly spectacular, Buckingham Palace.
The London Marathon is an experience you’ll never forget, as it’s just as spectacular for the supporters as it is the runners. With a buzzing atmosphere, you’ll be cheering along whilst on the lookout for celebrities and the many crazy and wonderful fancy dress costumes. Be sure to head down early and secure your cheering spot somewhere along the route!
DC Exhibition: Dawn of Super Heroes

The London premiere of ‘DC Exhibition: Dawn of Super Heroes’ is now open! This April, you’ll not want to miss this spectacular exhibition celebrating all things DC, its history, mythology and of course, super heroes. The exhibition features more than 200 original comic pages, over 300 sketches, and 45 original costumes from the iconic films. It’s super hero paradise if you ask us!
The exhibition itself will run in chronological order, taking you through a journey behind-the-scenes of each DC Universe. Featuring heroes including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Joker, The Penguin and Mr Freeze. The event is ticketed at just £18 entry per person and can be bought here.

Underbelly Festival in South Bank
30 The Queen’s Walk
On the 6th April, we see the return of the incredibly popular Underbelly Festival! Returning to London’s South Bank for the 10th year running, Underbelly promises to be one of the biggest entertainment festivals London has seen so far; you can expect 6 months of live circus, cabaret and family entertainment right on your doorstep! There really is something new to enjoy every day, with a range of events taking place including the Best of the Comedy Store, Steen Raskopoulos: The Coolest Kid in Competitive Chess, and House of Burlesque Revue Launch and After Party. Coffee lovers, this one’s for you! Returning to London for the 7th year running, the London Coffee Festival takes place this year on the 12th – 15th April in the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane.
