The sand (1,000 tonnes of it!) is accompanied by two paddling pools, funfair rides, two beach bars and a whole range of activities. The beach will also host big screens showing the Rio Olympics from August 6 – 21. Time to make this your new local for the summer!

Starting in London’s Docklands, Rat Racers will be challenged to crash and splash their way through a course of more than 35 obstacles – wading through water, plummeting down a 50ft water slide, bouncing around the giant inflatables and racing to the finish line! Based on the shore and in the water, this is set to be a wet and wild adventure. You can enter the race on your own or as a team here.
