Spring and freedom are in the air, so get outdoors and enjoy the best London has to offer with our top activity picks!
Southbank Centre Food Market
Calling all foodies, the Southbank Centre Outdoor Food Market is officially reopening from the 30th of April! Indulge in a gastronomical adventure and dip your toe in the plethora of international cuisine on offer, before strolling along the Thames. From craft beer to crépes, BBQ to Bao, there’s something for everyone’s taste buds. In celebration of reopening, they’ll be introducing some unfamiliar faces to the food stall family, so even seasoned regulars will be treated to something new.
To make things extra safe, the venue will be operating a one-way system and restricting the number of customers at one time; so best to arrive early!
Crystal Palace Park Maze
Looking for a challenge? Crystal Palace Park Maze, set within the 80-hectare oasis of greenery, is the perfect location to aim for after a lazy stroll this weekend. This free installation of tricksy hornbeam hedges winds its way across 2000sq ft and has historical ties to the formation of the Girl Guide movement way back in 1910. If you’ve got little ones to entertain, then the park’s iconic dinosaur sculptures are definitely one to add to the mix as well.

London Wetland Centre
Otter fans delight! The award-winning nature reserve right on the doorstep of South-West London has officially reopened, ready to transport its visitors to an abundant wetland paradise. Arguably the superstars of the event, the Wetlands are home to the majestic and playful Otter, specifically the smallest member of the family, the Asian Short Claw. Embrace those Spring-time vibes and keep an eye open for newly hatched ducklings, or the sweet comeback of the wetland’s wildflower offering.
Don’t forget that restrictions are still in place to manage volumes of visitors, so pre-booking is essential (even for members!).
