That’s right, it’s that time of the week when we bring you a concise trio of blogging highlights from the previous seven days. We find the best reads so you don’t have to.
So without further ado…
Titled ‘Strutting the East London Streets,’ the article delves into the rich and diverse array of styles to be found strolling along Hackney’s pavements. It focuses on the wonderful work by street photographer Jennifer, the lens behind the hip ‘Style East Blog‘.
The popularity of her blog is testament to her talent and ability to capture the true essence of East London’s streets so make sure you check it out.
Our second pick comes from the guys at the wonderful ‘Positive Dialogues’ blog. If you’re not already familiar with them, have a look at our article documenting their dedication to saving the future of Soho’s Berwick Street Market.
They’ve a really rather endearing story on how they constructed their stall on Berwick Street, involving a donation of wood from the floor of the former Soho hat factory (founded by King George IV): a story that reveals a hidden gem from Soho history relating to a really relevant cause today.
Lastly, Londonist‘s ‘Festival Alert‘ had us pricking our ears. Though it’s rather far away (1st September to be precise), we’ve pencilled the 1234 Shoreditch festival in to our diaries already! This will be an East London bonanza not to miss and Londonist has the lowdown on all cult bands who’ll be performing. Such an extensive line-up promises to really bring the action to Shoreditch Park come the end of summer.
