Top 5 Fireworks Displays in London

The festive season will soon be upon us, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves – there’s more excitement before then! London’s skyline will be THE sight to see this weekend, lit with colourful sparks followed by many “ooh’s” and “wow! Did you see that one?!”. Our top 5 London Fireworks Displays will certainly get you out of the house, equipped with: coats, scarves, and a sparkler (or two) ready to celebrate Bonfire Night in style!

Alexandra Palace Fireworks

Date: Friday 2nd– Saturday 3rdNovember

Nearest Tube: Alexandra Palace Station or Wood Green

North London’s renowned fireworks display is situated within 196 acres of parkland, lighting up the green and showcasing beautiful silhouettes of the Palace itself. Alexandra Palace will kick off the weekend with a two-day event, packed with street-food stalls, craft beer and a family area. The park opens at 5pm today (4pm on Saturday), with the display starting at 9pm tonight (8pm on Saturday). Remember to allow some time to grab some food and get a good view! Tickets are £12 for adults, £9.50 for teens, and £1 for children aged 10 and under. Don’t miss out! Grab your tickets here.

Blackheath Fireworks

Date: Saturday 3rdNovember, 12pm

Nearest Tube: Lewisham DLR or Blackheath Station

Blackheath Fireworks boast an all-day (free!) event packed with fun-filled rides and rollercoasters, alongside food stalls and eccentric bars to keep you well fed and watered throughout the evening. The glittering fireworks display will commence at 8pm across the green in Blackheath. The celebrations don’t stop there, take a walk around Blackheath Village and see for yourself! If you’re after a free firework display with mulled wine, music and tasteful scenery, then Guy Fawkes Night in Newham is a must-see! In the heart of Silvertown Quays, a specially chosen soundtrack will coincide with the colourful display – beginning with ‘As One’ by Jean Michel Jarre, alongside samples from ‘Come Together’ by Primal Scream. Heart FM’s DJ Roberto will also be providing plenty of tunes to keep you moving. This sounds like a fireworks night with a difference! You can find out more about the event here.

Battersea Park Fireworks

Date: Saturday 3rdNovember, 6pm-9:30pm

Nearest Tube: Sloane Square

Battersea Park will be lighting up the South London skyline with another exciting firework display, courtesy of Jubilee Fireworks. If you’re an early-bird, the gates are open from 6pm, with a bonfire at 7:30pm to keep you cosy. Food and drink stalls will be dotted around the park, remember to keep cash at hand! Tickets are £10 (children aged 10 and under go for free) and are selling fast! You can purchase yours here.

Hackney Firework Display

Clissold Park

Date: Saturday 3rdNovember, 5pm-9pm

Nearest Tube: Arsenal (10-minute walk)

This fifth and final fireworks display will brighten the North London skyline at Clissold Park, accompanied by pop-up street food and bars and music. This display is family-friendly, situated in a quieter park in comparison to more central locations, with a children’s village and sparkler zone available at the event. Tickets priced at £8.75 for adults and £3.75 for the little ones, on sale here. If you’re a local resident, there’s even reduced rates.
