Valentine’s Day isn’t always about traditional conventions, so we’re shaking things up with Junkyard Golf Club! Based in the heart of Brick Lane, surrounded by a variety of cocktail bars and restaurants with a hippy vibe; it’s safe to say you’ll be surrounded with plenty to do! This V-day, Junkyard Golf are releasing some exciting sweet cocktail recipes in aid of the occasion. To top it all off, all of their golf proceeds will be going to Love Support Unite, promoting sustainable development in Malawi. It’s important to note, in Junkyard’s words, that “boyfriend or girlfriend is 100% optional” which we’re totally on board with! If you’re a fan of a cocktail, we definitely recommend checking out The Shrub & Shutter. This bar serves up drinks that are guaranteed to be a little different. Step aside, strawberry daiquiris – how about a Dry Daiquiri with an added twist of Campari and fresh passionfruit? It’s important to note that drinks reservations are not available here, it’s a strictly walk-in basis. His work encompasses traditional, porcelain bath ware – twisted and turned inside-out to reveal other means. These pieces can be interpreted as body parts, or vessels. Admission to this exhibition is completely free, a bonus idea for a cost-effective Valentine’s Day.
