Methodist Central Hall Westminster, Westminster
10 December, 7.30pm
We can’t think of any better way to fill yourself with heart-warming, festive cheer than spending a December evening at a Christmas carol concert. Billed as “one of London’s loveliest”, the VSO’s annual service features carols from the City of London choir as well as performances by award-winning singers and musicians. Some of the capital’s most well-known faces will be doing readings, including Hugh Grant on this year’s line-up. Tickets to the event are available online – a wonderful way to feel truly involved in the spirit of giving this Christmas, whilst filling yourself with that true festive feeling.

On top of all this, you can meet Santa himself and watch as all of his friends perform an entertaining, interactive show. Snacks and drinks are included, with mulled wine to keep your festive spirit flowing while the kids run wild!

Until 2 January 2016
A firm festive favourite in the Christmas film rankings, Elf is on the West End stage this Christmas! The stage adaptation was a hit on Broadway and comes with its fair share of extravagant staging and visual delight, which is sure to keep you having fun and full of festive cheer the whole way through. With loads of energy and endless entertainment throughout from Buddy and the cast, we’d thoroughly recommend getting your Christmas off to a flying start at this show. We hear it’s a ‘great big warm-hearted family spectacular’, just like Christmas itself.
Victoria Park, Hackney, E3 5TB
Winterville is back and better than ever! If you don’t want your Christmas spirit dampened by the busy crowds you’ll inevitably face at Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland, head to the capital’s alternative winter festival – Winterville! Hosted in Hackney’s Victoria Park, you can expect a complete festive town with a variety of things going on from a circus, a cinema and a pantomime to a market, food and drink and weekend parties. It’s a whole load of fun for friends, families and couples alike so grab your Christmas spirit and get going!

With an array of Christmas favourites on show for the weeks running up to Christmas, we couldn’t be more excited about sitting in a room full of snow cosied up with a mulled wine and a festive treat – without having to deal with the cold.
